Kitchen Refresh – From Grey to White

October 2020

It’s time to endure more kitchen work. I’ve had a chance to recover from the last overhaul we did, and barely even remember when the entire kitchen, pantry and refrigerator were in our family room, eating dinner at the kitchen table next to the TV. We modernized our kitchen from this:

Into this kitchen:

Similar Stools | Faucet | Hot Water Dispenser | Similar Pendant Lights | Similar Flowers

I’ve enjoyed you, grey counters, but I’m ready for more white. Here are the top contenders:

It’s down to Sileston Et Statuario or Ceaserstone Frosty Carrina. urprisingly, our cabinets are creamier than I originally thought and the Frosty Carrina is looking like it might match a bit better.

Unfortunately, our white marble backsplash will have to come out. This will give us an opportunity to add more undercabinet lighting in our pantry area (and a beverage fridge! Woot!). I’m really liking this Bedrosian tile for the new backsplash:

There is still much to select, including a new faucet, sink, cooktop and pendant lights. I am loving this faucet or this faucet. There are so many options for pendant lights but I am having a hard time finding features without brass. We just got new cabinet pulls and handles in stainless steel, and with our appliances we’re keeping the stainless movement going. If I could start from scratch I’d do something with taupe cabinets, lighter flooring, and natural wood features in the kitchen. Maybe in 5 more years. I’ll post updates on our final selections soon.
