I love a good IKEA hack. This super simple and inexpensive update made a big difference in this IKEA Koppang white dresser. IKEA dressers can be hard to find, and we lucked out by getting our hands on this one for delivery even though it was sold out everywhere in stores around us. There are other options that are very price friendly, including some on Wayfair, like this one.
For E’s room makeover, we needed something narrow that would fit in the weird angles of her room. The Koppang was perfect. But it was also a little lackluster for her pink, white and brass themed room. And while we’ve had other IKEA dressers (including many Hemnes), the knobs on this Koppang were plastic. What a surprise!
Time to Update
With a little bit of contact paper and 10 new brass knobs, this hacked dresser matches perfectly with the rest of the room for our fancy little lady (well, she may disagree with the rare two times I’ve gotten her to wear a dress this year…).
And here are the drawers with the cute new drawer liner:
There are so many drawer liners out there. I found the one we used on Amazon (they are currently sold out), but we also used this one for the Dollhouse Bookcase Ryan built. Drawer liners are a really easy way to get a little extra dose of happy when you are putting away the laundry. I’ve even used this one for her Pottery Barn Vanity Hack. So sweet!
Final Touches
E’s room is such a happy place. I must have busted her blinds, so that’s my next fix for her room, and then she should be set for a while we we are on to the next fun project!
I love a good hack. Send us a comment for some you love!
