I have been loving the new vintage Victorian transformative art portraits that are showing up across Instagram and other places. I have fantasized about being an artist, and dabbled with acrylics for a while. Unfortunately there is not an ounce of Picasso in these veins. So I turn to digital print for much of my art these COVID days.

I found a digital print on Etsy for $3. There are several options of vintage portraits, and you can search for any type of vintage art. This is the print I downloaded: Portrait of a Lady:
This is clearly very pretty in its own right, but I decided to transform the art.

I just printed this on regular paper (Shhhh! Don’t tell anyone!). Next, I took some acrylic paint and created a stroke. This paint works well.

Next, I found an inexpensive frame. Any gold, black or any vintage inspired frame would look great. Mine is from Ikea, where the glass is plexiglass and the frame is inexpensive acrylic. I wanted to use something that would not be catastrophic if it fell to floor. Here are some inexpensive options:
